Scott's culinary journey began 30 years ago as a teen working at some of the area’s popular restaurant spots, including The Waffle Shop, Perkins and Outback Steakhouse – where he quickly climbed the ranks to manager.

As the regional executive chef at Lucky Strike Lanes, an upscale bowling alley, Scott oversaw 10 East Coast locations. His burger recipes were featured company-wide and garnered local media attention for the Philadelphia Lucky Strike. He also provided food service to private schools and colleges as a member of the team at Culinart. Most recently, he served as the food service director of The Grier School in Tyrone before striking off on his own to form Dubbs Grub.
